RR, ARTO organize medical camp | | | Early Times Report
RAMBAN, Jan 14: Assistant Regional Transport Office in collaboration with Rashtriya Rifles (RR) Delta Force organised a free medical camp for the drivers and conductors besides local populace, here today. According to press release, District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ramban, Bashir Ahmed Dar was the chief guest on the occasion whereas ARTO Ramban Shammi Kumar, Major Nipun Sirohi and Deputy Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Ramban Kameshwar Puri besides Station House Officer (SHO) Ramban Vindo Kundal also presided over the function. Speaking on the occasion, DDC stressed upon all the attendees particularly driver community to undergo regular medical checkups to ensure the fitness of their body and mind for safe transportation of the passengers. He also appealed the drivers for not driving under any stressful condition and take queues from the innumerable road signages so that traffic jam and incidence of accidents may not occur. One doctor from RR one from civil took part in the medical camp and in which 400 people were examine besides provided free medicines. ARTO Shammi Kumar said that said that this medical camp is the part of the ongoing traffic safety week. "In this medical camp the doctors are examined eyes and general checkup of the drivers, conductors and locals" he added. The local populace applauded the effort of ARTO and army and suggested that these medical camps should be organized at regular intervals for the betterment of the people especially drivers. |
