Ex Minister Dr Manohar Lal pays homage to Martyr Mangal Singh

Jammu, Jan 14 : Dr Manohar Lal Sharma senior congress leader, former Minister and PCC general secretary paid homage to martyr Mangal Singh on his 14th martyr's day at Ladoli, village Mangloor, tehsil Dinga Amb of Kathua district during a memorial ceremony organized here on Wednesday.
A large number of peoples from all walks of life including political leaders of different parties, ex-service men from Indian Army, locals including Sarpanches, Panches attended the occasion and recalled martyr's great sacrifice to nation in early years of age while serving in 15 JAK RIF as rifleman.
In his tributes Dr Sharma recalled martyrs supreme sacrifice and service to the motherland in very short span of his service in Poonch sector.
For inept the martyr Mangal singh was born on 3rd of January 1981 at village Ladoli in the family of Hav Dharam Singh and mother Smt Kanta Devi. After passing out 12th class with 85% of marks, he voluntarily joined Indian Army in 2000. On the fateful day of 12th January 2002 while retaliating fire to Pakistan at Shahpur Post in Poonch sector attained martyrdom.
Sr Congress leader also maintained that people from Kandi, border belt and hilly area of Jammu division have rich tradition of serving in army and other security forces which reflect their courage and spirit of nationalism. He also extended his heartfelt sympathies to the family of martyr Mangal Singh and assured every possible help.
Ex-MLC and DCC president Subash Gupta, Capt Gian Singh Pathania President Ex-Servicemen's League, Devinder Singh Bindu NC Leader, NareshSharma Sr Congress leader, Capt Tara Chand Sharma Block President Kandi and Surinder Singh, Bharat Bhushan, Madan Lal Sharma, Sat Pal Singh, Vaishno Dutt, Kamal Singh, Darbari Lal (all sarpanches) and Laddi Khajuria IYC president BIllawar constituency and Secretary Sethi also paid tributes to martyrs.
