Official bullyism: Govt Officer mocks handicap for 'disability' 1/28/2016 9:58:56 PM Early Times Report Poonch, Jan 28: What could be termed as 'official bullying' and blinded by power, a senior government official in Poonch not only threatened a handicapped the other day but also mocked the disability of the common person. According to local reports, the District President Poonch of Handicap Union Abdul Rashid Shahpuri became the victim of official bullying when he was going to attend a function organized to commemorate Republic Day in Poonch. Shahpuri who was traveling on his four wheeler (scooty), got engaged in argument with an officer who threatened him even to slaughter. Official also had mocked his disability in local dialect asserting "O khudya kyu tu mout k dane chug raha hai? (O God, why you chose pox of mortality?") Shahpuri has identified the officer as Naib Tehsildar Mandi Mohd Akram Tantrah who happens to be close relative of Member Legislative Assembly MLA Haveli Shah Mohd Tantray. Meanwhile the incident has resulted in resentment simmering among the Union of Handicap Poonch which has condemned the inhumane act of officer and further has demanded action against him. Members of Handicap Association, namely Iqbal Khanday, Mohd Sharief, Mohd Hafiz and Maqsood Ahmed have questioned the act of officer and said how an officer can threatened the handicap?
