Udhampur, Jan 28: With an endeavour to improve upon the basic infrastructure in schools of the remote areas of Pir Panjal Ranges, the Rashtriya Rifles Battalion at Kalal under the aegis of Counter Insurgency Uniform Force Headquarters, Reasi distributed furniture items to Government Middle School, Ganiah.
The noble gesture by the Army to support the infrastructure in school and create ergonomic atmosphere has won praise from the local population. The project of Army has benefited 120 students.
In a ceremony graced by students, teachers and officials from the civil administration the items were handed over to the Headmaster of the school.
Speaking on the occasion, Abdul Aziz, Sarpanch of Ganiah appreciated the efforts of the Army for being at the forefront of developmental endeavours in remote areas and urged the students to follow a path of hardwork and contribute towards value based society. |
