Narco-smuggler held, 13.2 kg Bhukki recovered 1/28/2016 11:50:22 PM Ramban, Jan 28: In continuation of drive launched against drug peddlers/smugglers by the District Police Ramban, a Police Party of Police Post Jawahar Tunnel arrested one narcotic smuggler and recovered over thirteen (13) kgs of poppy straw popularly Known as Bhukki. According to police sources, a police team led by Sub Inspector Irfan laid a special naka on Jawahar Tunnel Check Post and intercepted a Tavera bearing regd no: JK01P-9228 on way from Srinagar to Jammu. "During search of vehicle police recovered 13 Kg 200 grams of poppy straw from the possession of accused identified namely as Qadir Gujjar resident of Guttru, Tral, police sources said, adding that a case stands registered against the accused under relevant sections.
