JAMMU, Feb 23 : Naman, who netted record four goals, today guided KC Public School to a fine 6-2 win against hosts GD Goenka School in the final of School Sports Promotion Foundation (SSPF) talent search event, here. Today's game played between winners of two different clusters of Jammu district. Naman emerged as star striker, who led his side to a big win. Leading 3-1 at the end of first half of the play, KC Public added three back to back goals while the opponent side of GD Goenka could succeed only once in their attempts son the net. "Now, on the basis of their performance, 30 players shall be shortlisted from Jammu district for a brief camp to be held in March ending. It will be followed by the final 20 men team which shall play against Kathua and Samba districts in April," informed district coordinator of the SSPF, Arun Paul Singh Jasrotia. Today's final was officiated by the technical penal including Dharam Paul, Stanzin Tsepak and Dil Bahadur Gurung. The event was supervised by cluster coordinators, Moon Madan, Stephen and Satnam Singh as also state coordinator, Iqbal Singh. "The names of the shortlisted boys shall be communicated to the participating schools and the certificates of participation shall be available on SSFP website soon," disclosed Arun Jasrotia. |
