People boiling with rage against BJP-PDP Govt: Harsh | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 16: Ridiculing the tall slogans of 'good governance' 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas', and 'Achhe Din' given by the BJP during elections, Harsh Dev Singh Chairman JKNPP and Former Minister has described BJP-PDP rule in the state as a period of decadence, mis-governance, non development, with people all across the state feeling cheated and betrayed. He said that the people of Jammu region in particular were seething with anger in view of the highly treacherous role played by its mandated BJP leaders who had surrendered on all issues before their ally and were anxiously waiting to teach the saffron leaders a befitting lesson. He was addressing several public meetings during his two days tour of Prey, Badhal, Sattian, Chowki besides a Young Panthers convention in Ramnagar town. Speaking during various rallies, Harsh Dev Singh expressed grave concern over the fast deteriorating law and order situation in the state and attributed the same to the soft approach of the PDP-BJP govt. towards anti national and other disruptive forces. He rebuked the government for its pro-secessionist agenda which was responsible for spurt in militancy which had escalated not only in valley but also spread its tentacles in Jammu region. He said that union government's order to vacate lands from Army and to allow the Nepal route for return of militants under the Rehabilitation policy besides permission to the separatists and Hurriyat Leaders to organize anti India seminar in Kashmir had emboldened the anti national elements who had got a fresh lease of life and were desperate to vitiate peace and tranquility in both Jammu and Kashmir. Strongly flaying the government for its failure to apprehend the culprits involved in stone pelting on religious pilgrimage of Mata Kheer Bhawani, Harsh Dev Singh said that the government must also unearth the conspiracy behind the desecration of Aap Shambhu Temple in Janipur Jammu by mischievous characters in furtherance of a well knit plot to create communal tensions. Expressing concern over the growing unemployment and under employment of the educated youth, Singh warned the government not to play with the sentiments of educated youth. |
