BJP district Prez abuses workers, leaders | | | Ishtiyaq Ahmad Early Times Report Srinagar, June 16 : The infighting within the ruling BJP came to fore recently when the district president Bandipora abused the party workers for pointing out his mistake. The BJP workers from Bandipora district have written a detailed letter to the party president Sat Sharma about the incident. "The district President of the party displayed the banner of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Mission during Mahakumb Mela at Shadipora in central Kashmir earlier this week. The banner had the photograph of Gandhi Ji, DK Nehru and Wasim Bari instead of Prime Minister and State President. Party workers asked him (district president) about the goof up. Instead of removing the banner he abused BJP workers and the party leaders," the letter states, a copy of which lies with Early Times. The letter has been sent to BJP State President Satpal Sharma and party General Secretary Ashok Koul. "Later other party workers brought a new banner with the photographs of Prime Minister and Sate President but district president Bandipora did not allow them to display it and abused them," the letter written by BJP workers states. "Who you are? It is my district even state president cannot interfere," the letter quoted the BJP district president as having said. |
