OT light, Semi- Auto Analyzer equipments for CHC Marh yet not procured Lackadaisical approach 0f Health Department 6/16/2016 11:13:45 PM Early Times Report Jammu, June 16: Blame it on the lackadaisical approach of Health Department Jammu, the important equipment proposed for purchase including OT Ceiling Light and Semi Auto Analyzer for Community Health Centre (CHC) Marh has not been procured desoite approval over one year back. Sources in department concerned informed Early Times that the Community Health Centre (CHC) designed to provide referral as well as specialist health care to the rural population has failed to take off due to non avaailability of critcal equipment despte approval of government. Non- availability of OT Ceiling light in CHC Marh hinders smooth functioning of Operation Theatre, eventhough last year government had proposed Rs 5.50 lakhs for procurement of OT ceiling light to this hospital. Similarly, Semi Auto Analayzer machine costing Rs 3 lakh had been proposed by government to improve the quality of laboratories and diagnosis in this health institution but due to the lackadaisical approach of higher authority of health department the equipment has not been procured so far. Block Medical Officer Marh, Dr Anil Manhas said that the hospital has an OT light but he was not aware about OT Ceiling light proposed for procurement. The hospital has not received any Semi Auto Analyzer machine so far but we are conducting the above test manually.
