Youth happy over slew of measures for urban towns: Puneet Singh Jamwal | 'WhatsApp for complaint registration is trendy' | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 16: Going by the guided principles of former chief minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, the slew of measures announced by chief minister Mehboba Mufti are sure to encourage party workers at ward levels and also develop all major towns of the State by establishing parks, libraries and parking spaces. These measures were the need of hour, said zone president of People's Democratic Party (PDP) Jammu West Puneet Singh Jamwal. According to press release, he said that the announcement that local youth must be engaged in a constructive manner for promotion of tourism has boosted the morale of party workers and youth in general who are feeling elated in the sense that they are going to have a say in the developmental works of their wards and zones. Creation of dedicated Whatsapp numbers by DDCs for receiving complaints and grievances of the people is also encouraging and going by the trend, he added. Innovation in promoting skill development and employment-linked initiatives in horticulture, handlooms, handicrafts and tourism sectors are other areas where the CM has laid emphasis on and once implemented these sectors could open endless avenues for youth of the state. Sick of rising traffic in the urban towns' youth were also looking for a solution and directions for formulation of traffic management plan for cities and towns has elated them. Puneet Singh Jamwal said that as per the directions if adequate parking lots in all cities and towns are identified and notified soon, half of the congestion will be removed from these areas. |
