DDC chairs DLRC, RSETI meets | | | Early Times Report
RAMBAN, June 16: District Development Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Aijaz, chaired District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting of officers of banking and civil departments to discuss the achievements of banking sector in deposits and advances at conference hall today. The meeting was attended by Assistant General Manager, RBI, R.B Sharma, Director RSETI Rajiv Kumar Sharma, Lead District Manager, Arun Khajuria , DDM- NABARD, Arshi Sharma, Chief Planning Officer, Parshotam Kumar, GM DIC, DSWO, ADs, DSHO and others bankers and officers of line department. It was informed in the meeting that up to March 2016, an amount of 978.14 crore has been recorded in the deposit and 279.92 crore in the advance sector and the CD Ratio has increased by only 3 % over march 2016 is only 28.61 % against the national target of 60%. Thread bare deliberation was held on the sector and scheme wise under which loans are provided to the beneficiaries for operating income generating units. It was elucidated in the meeting by officers that many cases have been kept pending by the various bank branches. The Chairman expressed concern over slow progress of banks in achieving targets of CD ratio and poor performance in credits in Agriculture sector. He directed all the banks to take effective measures for ensuing loans in Agriculture sector so that majority of the population would be facilitated under various schemes besides providing KCC to the farmers. He asked DDM NABARD to create more self help groups of women and youths for providing job opportunities to them in their door step. He also instructed bankers to provide educational loans well in time to students seeking admission in various professional and other courses in or outside the state. |
