Health services mocking tall claims of better healthcare 6/16/2016 11:21:45 PM Rajesh Tandon Early Times Report poonch, June 16: Patients and visitors to the various health institutes are getting a nightmarish experience as it presents a very gloomy picture of medicare with acute shortage of medical staff and basic medicines indicating that all is not well with healthcare services in bordering District Poonch. According to the people of Poonch and Mandi there is lack of facilities in district hospital Poonch and Sub District Hospital (SDH) Mandi. Sources said District Hospital (DH) Poonch still is awaiting for the basic facilities like CT Scan, ultrasound and other basic services and similar situation is at SDH Mandi where shortage of qualified staff, Gynaecologist, quality of X-Ray and ultrasound is taking toll of claims of better healthcare. According to local reports, the locals alleged state government and higher authorities of the department are ignoring district Poonch in health sector for their vested interests.
