Two held in bid to 'captivate a woman' 7/4/2016 10:46:56 PM Early Times Report Jammu, July 4: General Railway Police (GRP) Katra today claimed to have arrested an auto driver who allegedly kept a lady in captivity in his auto-rickshaw and molested her. "On 04/07/16 after strenuous efforts Inspector Narinder Singh Jamwal SHO GRP Katra and his team of official under the Directions of Kamlesh Shoor DySP, SDPO Railways Katra and overall supervision of Ashok Kumar Sharma, SSP Railways Katra arrested the accused Mohd Akram alias Rinku son of Shakur Din of Kundeorian (Katra). Meanwhile driver of an auto-rickshaw bearing registration number JK02BB-7129, Ashwani Kumar son of Shiv Ram of Dhanori was arrested seized the auto used by them in committing the offence. The accused person was absconding after the commission of the crime in the jurisdiction of GRP Katra as they forcibly put Kanta Devi wife of Babu Ram of Soul Panthal in their auto-rickshaw on 14. 06. 2016. The said lady jumped from the running auto to save herself and her honour and as a result of which she got injured. In this connection, a case under FIR No. 04/2016 under sections 366, 354 and 323 of RPC dated 14/ 06/ 2016 was registered against both the accused in GRP Katra.
