Early Times Report JAMMU, July 4: A few days after ADGP Naveen Aggarwal proceeded on central deputation, one more police officer of the rank of ADGP has applied for central deputation. After this officer too gets the central deputation, the PHQ would be left with only fours ADGPs. With such a small number of ADGPs, the PHQ is likely to face problems in running the police administration in the state, according to police sources. Sources said the ADGP applied for the central deputation only after a central minister, who was very close to him, assured him to get him adjusted against some significant post. His senior in the state police too was helping him for this cause. "His senior, who is said to be his well-wisher, wants that after serving for some time at the Centre, he should return to the state and try for the big post," sources said. He is at present heading an important J&K police wing. He has served in both the regions. After he was elevated as ADGP, he was posted in a police wing, but after some time, he was posted in another wing. He hails from outside the state. |
