PHQ, Home okays proposal to transfer 2 powerful SPs | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, July 4: PHQ and the state home department are said to have given a green signal to transfer two 'powerful' district SPs who have completed more than two years at their present places of posting. Both are IPS and one is senior to the other by one year. For being close to politicians in the erstwhile government, they were posted as district SPs. However, after the BJP-PDP alliance took over the reins of the government, they developed relations with the other set of politicians and managed their stay in their respective districts. "Whenever the state cabinet has decided to shift them to other places, they have managed to get their names dropped from the proposed transfer lists," police sources alleged. But now the situation was altogether different as PHQ and the state home department had already okayed the proposal for their transfer, sources claimed. Sources said while they got posted as district SPs over two years back, their batchmates and even some seniors were yet to get a chance to head any district in the state. There were four to five officers whose names were being discussed to replace them, the sources added. |
