7/4/2016 10:47:22 PM

Early Times Report
Jammu, July 4: In a case where services of a lady doctor were terminated after a young woman, who had later delievered a dead foetus, was made to wait for two hours at Atholi hospital, Kishtwar, high court judge Janak Raj Kotwal today ordered that, subject to objections from other side, the petitioner's termination would remain stayed.
One Sushma Devi (24) was brought to Atholi hospital with half of the baby's body out of birth canal and head stuck up. She was made to wait for two crucial hours as three doctors, after marking their attendance, had left the hospital.
The grievance of petitioner, Dr Asfiya Ishrat is that she was on leave as per the June 5, 2016 order No 414G of Director Health Services, Jammu. She said she was on leave on June 4, 2016 and before her termination, she was not heard.
After hearing her counsels, Justice Kotwal issued four weeks notice to the respondents and ordered that subject to objections from other side, termination of the petitioner would remain stayed.
