No Govt ration supply since last two months in Harmutta | | | MS Nazki Poonch, July 4: A strong resentment is brewing among locals against Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CA&PD) Department as ration supply to Harmutta Village in Gursai of Poonch has not been restored for the last 2 months, sources said. The locals alleged that no ration supply has taken place to Harmutta Village and surrounding hamlets for the last two months while the festivity of auspices Eid is approaching nearer. Agitated locals urged the authorities to restore the full ration to the locals so as problems of locals might be eased a bit. Pertinent to mention that some days ago Early Times, also has come up with story in its edition highlighting the problems of people who were forced to block Surankote-Mendhar road at Village Harmutta for erratic ration supply. When contacted Tehsil Supply Officer (TSO) Zamir Khan told Early Times that ration quota including sugar and flour has been dispatched for Harmutta village for distribution among the locals before the Eid festival. Meantime People of Mendhar have alleged that they were being given only ½kg sugar per ration card where as Government has recommended 1 kg per card ironically the CA&PD depot holders are macking mockery of direction of government to issue full quota of sugar, they added. Meanwhile youth club Mendhar chairman Advocate Nadeem Khan too has appealed the CA&PD Minister and district administration of Poonch to release government ration quota to locals of Harmutta village at earliest. |
