Jammu, July 4: The State Vigilance Organisation (SVO) today produced a charge sheet against a junior engineer in connection with an alleged corruption case in Kathua district here. SVO, Jammu produced the challan (charge sheet) in the court of Additional Sessions Judge, Kathua against Mohd Younis, junior engineer, PMGSY, Billwar, Kathua, a SVO spokesman said.
A written complaint was received from one Shailender Vaid alleging the accused was demanding Rs one lakh for preparation of a bill amounting to Rs 15 lakhs with regard to the executed work of Thar-Ghat road, he said.
Vigilance officers laid a trap and the accused was caught while accepting the graft money, the spokesman added. |
