KP organizations condemn temple desecrations in Kashmir

Jammu, July 4: KPC and ADKUF has condemned the act of desecration, loot and plunder of Mahatripursundri temple at Devsar, Kulgam, Kashmir by anti-Hindu and anti--Indian elements during yesterday night, which has again angered and annoyed Kashmiri Pandit community.
KPC Chief Kundan Kashmiri and ADKUF chairman D N Kissu while expressing their concern and anger over the incident, stated that such incidents directly shows the malicious intention, attitude as well as religious intolerance of fundamentalists and anti--Hindu elements of Kashmir valley, who cosmetically cry that Kashmir is incomplete without Kashmiri Hindus.
They said such incidents, no doubt, hurts the religious sentiments of Kashmiri Hindu community, but in large defames the majority Muslim community of Kashmir and exposes separatists and their masters across.
They further stated that J&K state Govt and its administration has totally failed to protect the Kashmiri Hindus religious places and its property before and even after their forced exodus from the valley. Kundan Kashmiri said that it is not for the first time, but even earlier also when gold and other items were stolen from Durga Nag temple, Srinagar, besides, Shiv temple Lakdipura, Anantnag, Ragniya temple Badipura, Badgam and others were desecrated.
Since KPs displacement from Kashmir valley, around three hundred temples were either badly damaged, destroyed, desecrated or burnt, thousand of structures were gutted and thousand of kanals of land occupied and encroached.
KPC chief Kundan Kashmiri and Kissu demanded that fool proof security arrangements under the cover of centre para--military forces to be provided to all shrines and temples in the valley, an early action against those who damaged and destroyed these temples. Besides, gold and other items stolen from Durganag temple in the recent past, to be recovered and persons responsible for this theft to be booked and punished and measures to be taken to pass the shrine bill as earliest as possible.
