They also demanded release of the salaries before Eid festival to the temporary employees working in various government departments.
"To stop the earned and legitimate salaries of the employees is a gross violation of their rights and the officials at the helm of the affairs have been pushing thousands of employees and their families towards starvation and mental trauma" said Shahbaz Khan, chairman PPREF.

"If the government failed to release the salaries of permanent/casual laborer before the Eid festival, the employees will come on the roads and the responsibility for occurrence of any untoward incident would be of the State Government. " said Vinod Kumar, General Secretary PPREF.
He appealed to the government to make steps on war footing to release the pending salaries of the employees within next two days.
Others who also expressed their views include Abdul Hamid Malik, Rajinder Kumar, Riaz Ahmed, Manzoor Lone and Neeraj Kumar. These leaders have appealed to Mehbooba Mufti to intervene in this matter so that the employees can get their salaries before Eid festival.
