JMF criticizes Govt over Pay Commission | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 4: Jammu Muslim Front (JMF) today held a meeting in which they criticized government decision to implement 7th Pay commission in state after two year. Speaking on the occasion, JMF president Imran Qazi said that government had doubled the salary of legislatures which with all perks and allowances reached to Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 3 lakh and on the other hand the widow pensioners are getting a meager amount of Rs 200 to 300 per month. He added that prices of basic commodities were increasing day by day. It has become difficult to make livelihood possible with this meager amount of 200 per month. We appeal to Chief Minister Mehbooba Muft that reconsider her decision as it would demoralize the employees. "If state is running through financial crisis that what is the need of increasing salary of legislatures to double", he said. We appeal that instead of increasing Legislature's salary, the amount of widow pension should be increased and it was very strange that no opposition legislature even protested in favour of employees. Others who were present in the meeting include; Sheikh Sajjad, Rashid Ahmed, Mansoor Malik, Rehmat Ali Malik and Hanief Choudhary. |
