Early Times Report Jammu, July 17: Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation (SNCF) organized a voluntary blood donation camp at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan, Akhnoor in which 110 units of blood were donated. According to press release, the camp inaugurated by Sarita Chouhan, IAS, Commissioner secretary Social Welfare Department. While speaking on the occasion she said that blood donation is a need of time and applauded the efforts of Sant Nirankari Mission and congratulated all the volunteer donors and assured full co-operation to the mission. Other dignitaries presented in the camp were Dr Neeti from Blood Bank GMC Jammu, S P Verma (padmshiri) President Gandhi Global family, B R Lachotra Gen. secretary Study villa charitable Trust, Ram Mehta, Chuni lal Sanchalak and several prominent Senior citizens of the town. Rev Ajit Singh Zonal incharge, Sant Nirankari Mandal said that even though basically the mission is a spiritual movement, it has been making a significant contribution towards social welfare activities also. The camp was held in collaboration with Blood and Transfusion Department of Government Medical College, Jammu, Indian Red Cross Society and JKSACS. |
