BJP thinking to engage English teacher for party's Ministers in coalition Govt | | | Early Times Report Jammu, July 17: A serious thought is going on among senior leaders of the BJP to arrange a teacher to teach English to the "highly qualified" party ministers in the government who had passed controversial Land Transfer Bill in the Cabinet meeting. This issue was taken up in the Core Group meeting of the party which was held on Saturday. A senior BJP leader, while expressing his anger over passing of the controversial Bill in the Cabinet, said in a lighter vein, "Although we have highly qualified ministers in the government from our party but I think they are weak in English so there is a need to arrange one English teacher for them to teach the language so that they can read and under English". A leader who was part of the Core Group meeting said that party ministers were answerless when this suggestion was made in the meeting. Majority of the party leaders said that BJP ministers in the coalition neither read nor understand English and this is the reason that they are giving their consent to one after another controversial issues. However, there is also an opinion that all the party ministers are more concerned about power and they are least concerned about ideology of the party. Many instances were narrated in the meeting to expose the ministers, who have abandoned the core issues to keep coalition partner in good humor. Credible sources said that some members while referring towards hardship being faced by the Amarnath pilgrims said that it was it was very unfortunate that Transport Department is harassing the pilgrims most but the Minister concerned, who belongs to BJP has maintained a blind eye towards problems of pilgrims. |
