Traders, commoners worst hit by constant strikes in Valley | Separatists busy implementing agenda of their masters | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 17: The complete shutdown in Kashmir for over a week now has added to woes of common man and traders in the strife -torn Kashmir Valley as they are left with no alternative but to bow before the wishes of subversives and vested interests who enforce the bandh and strike just to please their masters across the border. The people in the Valley are fed up with routine strikes, curfews and bandhs but they can't raise their voice fearing reaction from separatists and subversives who have been ruling the roost for last 27 years after the terrorism gripped the Valley. According to sources no one bothers to think about common man as separatists and subversives are working on the behest of their mentors across the border who want to push the Kashmir to wall by perpetuating miseries on people of Valley. Sources said people want restoration of peace and not violence any more but political parties too want to exploit the situation to their own advantage. This has happened for last 27 years in strife torn Valley as main stream political parties who are for the national unity and integration too have failed to represent this sizable number of people and lead them in revolting against the subversives and Pak agents forgetting that whosoever will be in government violence is againstthe cause of the people of the State and leads to destruction. Sources said the traders in Kashmir who also suffered a heavy loss during 2014 flash floods in Valley were still trying to recover, but once again are totally disgusted over the happenings in Kashmir where complete shutdown has been observed for last one week. Sources said the traders are in distress as they are unable to pay the installments to banks due to loss in business after routine shutdowns and strikes. Traders even apprehend action by banks in case the installments are not paid for a long time and even the banks can lock their business establishments and premises but whom they can narrate their plight as separatists are milking the cow as huge funds come to them through hawala as well as Pakistan. A trader from Anantnag who had secured a huge loan from J&K Bank said that he is unable to pay the installments and in case the situation persists like this traders who are totally dependent on bank loans will come to footpath as their businesses have already suffered a lot. |
