Infamous bootlegger cop of Taryath gets prize posting at R S Pura 7/19/2016 11:59:55 PM Early Times Report Reasi, July 19: A bootlegger cop who ruled Taryath in Pouni tehsil of district Reasi was a kingpin of the activities in the area against which the Early Times had carried a series of stories for his illicit deals . The Cop who belonged to CID CI wing of the police was known to be enjoying the shelter of his close kins in the department as well as the other high officials as he used to ferry liquor and other drugs for his high ups who always gave him shelter and protection. Earlier he used to carry illicit liquor from Pouni to Taryath every morning in his luxury car and sell it to people on higher rates. He sells all the illicit consignment before the opening of the wine shops in the area. The CID CI constable used to attend his office at Pouni once a week only and owned a lavish car which he ferried daily from Pouni to Taryath --- a 20 minutes run while selling the illicit liquors to his potential customers daily. Sources alleged that he also had his hand in the smuggling of bovine and timber in the district. This CID CI constable who works as a henchman of a politician and executes all illegal works and carries on his diktats. Earlier also complaints against this CID CI had been gone to the higher officials of the department who had many times assured for taking a decision against him, but to no avail. However in the recent development, after having got many complaints from different quarters about this cop, the high officials got him transferred to Kishtwar as a face saving exercise. At Kishtwar, the said CID CI cop put up only for 14 day only and he was again given a prize posting at R S Pura Jammu. All eyes and areas have gone intent over the decisions of the higher authorities as to how , he was first transferred to Kishtwar , just only for 14 days and then transferred to RS Pura's prize posting at Jammu.
