| Condition of Satrari -Majalta link road in bad shape | | | Early Times Report
udhampur, July 19: The normal life of people living along the Satrarai- Majalata locality is affected due to bad condition of main link road Satrari -Majalta road.
The said road in bad shape offer the daily commuters a bumpy, painstaking and dusty ride due to depleted and potholed condition of the main connecting link to the district headquarter Udhampur.
Locals lamented that even the much hyped centrally sponsored scheme Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) too seemed to have failed to bring respite to them. They alleged that majority of roads are left abandoned in half way i.e. only after earth works. "And due to bad road connectivity the pregnant women, school going children and elderly are facing lot of problems, local lamented.
Locals including Parkesh, Sham Lal and Ajay Kumar told to Early Times that some years ago constructed the same roadi.e. Satrari to Majalta but work was stopped just after earth working and since then the uncompleted road has been affected their lives as even if one has to go to Manwal they have to walk on foot which becomes horrifying during late evening hours.
Locals also alleged that their repeated complaint have turned to deaf ears as the high chaired officials within the concerned department yet have failed to do something substantial in this regard.
They also have appealed to the local MLA Rs Pathania to take up the issue with concerned authorities for early redressal.
When contacted MLA Ramnagar R S Pathaniya said that work will be started soon and hoped that by the end of July construction work shall be started people of area soon will get their problem resolved. |
