Kashmiri Pandits slam Mehbooba for remarks over killing of Burhan | | | Early Times Report Jammu, July 31: Democratic Pannun Kashmir has expressed anguish over the statement given by the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti that if she knew that the terrorist holed up in a hideout in south Kashmir was Burhan Wani, she would have not liquidated him but would have given him one more chance. This is dangerous and mischievous. After all what she wants to convey to terrorists and their masters across the border? At what cost it would have given him a chance? She should understand that the same forces are protecting her who are the targets of the terrorists. Does she wants to convey to terrorists and the separatists that we have committed mistake this time by eliminating the dreaded militant and will be careful next time that the ultra is saved. It is already known that PDP is pro militant and now she wants to remove doubts in them and want to put a seal on the pro-militant stance of the Govt. The tragic part is that their partners in the Govt. are mute spectators to the whole drama. DPK has also castigated the Home Ministry for directing the DG CRPF to express regret over the pellet injures which is shameful and is unbecoming of a professional force like CRPF. By expressing the regret it has demoralised the forces. He should have concern for the security forces rather than the terrorists. The party also criticised the PDP MP Muzafar Hussain Baig for questioning the security forces on the manner of killing of Wani. The party in a meeting expressed surprise over the sympathy of the all Kashmir centric politicians towards Burhan. "If these leaders have an iota of self -respect, they should have given their personal security before criticising the forces who risk their lives for the sake of these selfish and opportunistic politicians who leave no chance to criticise the forces and at the same have love for the militants," said the convenor of the Party Ravnder Jalali. |
