UDHAMPUR, July 31: ARTO Udhampur on Saturday inspected various Auto Rickshaw stands in the town as well as in its outskirts.
During inspection, ARTO Rajesh Gupta directed the inspectors and the staff to ensure display of fare boards across all commercial Auto Rickshaw stands in the city to prevent overcharging and monopoly of Auto Rickshaw operators.
He also called for mass publicity of the new tariff structure devised for stage carriages.
Taking strong notice of overloading, the ARTO also checked documents including registration, insurance, driving license, permits, fitness certificates of many passenger vehicles. He also intercepted and boarded various public transports to ascertain seat space and comfort level available for the passengers in these vehicles. |
