Bishnah, July 31: Congress activists under the leadership of Shashi Sharma secretary Pradesh Congress Committee held protest demonstration at Bishnah on the controversial statement issued by Dy CM Nirmal Singh that the encounter of militant Burhan Wani with the security forces was an accident. At this the Congress activists blocked the Bishnah Bari-Brahmna road and raised anti BJP and anti Nirmal Singh slogans.
They also burnt the effigy of Dy CM Nirmal Singh.
While addressing the workers Shashi Sharma condemned the statement of Dy CM and said that with such statements the moral of security forces is demoralised and it is a great threat to the nation. He warmed the BJP leaders of dire consequences if they did not mend their ways. Prominent among their were Gulshan Sharma, Ashok Kumar, Rajesh Kumar, Tilak Raj, Baisakhi Ram, Pritam Bhagat, Chaju Ram, Ram Pal Bhagat, Ranju, Raghbir Sharma, Ram Pal Sharma and others. |
