TJF alleges preferential treatment, nepotism by CEO | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, July 31: Teachers Joint Front (TJF) Rajouri has alleged preferential treatment, nepotism committed by the Chief Education Officer (CEO) Rajouri and by the members of the committee constituted by him while preparing proposals for the appointments of the Masters/Teachers TJF members including Rajinder Sharma, Abdul Hamid, Mukhtar Ahmed under the chairmanship of Shahbaz Khan held a meeting at Rajouri and said that norms/regulations prescribed by the Department have been violated by the officials concerned while preparing list of the appointments of Masters and teachers in Rajouri district "Large scale of irregularities has been reported and the Masters engaged in the process have not been adopting the norms/rules pasted on the notice Board at CEO office. Those who have just completed two years have been included in the lists while those who have managed their postings at the places of their choices and serving in the schools for last many years have been ignored reportedly on some beneficial considerations" said Shahbaz Khan. He and other members of TJF have urged the Chief Education officer (CEO) Ch Altaf Huissain to adopt fair and transparent policy in preparing the lists and don't succumbs to political and other pressures ( financial considerations). "Any discrimination or favoritism will be opposed strongly by the teacher community. Give preference to female teachers those physically working out of their localities ( serving at places for away from their habitation) and not to those who are working in their localities for the last many years on some fake grounds including security threat, medical grounds etc" said Zaffar Javid. TJF members said the transfers of those must be consider who are actually posted in for flung areas but have managed their duties near their habitations for the last between 5-10 years in nexus with some officials. "When their transfer orders were issued they were once again posted at far flung areas ( who had already completed two years) and blue eyed were adjusted at the places of their choices. No subject wise criteria were adopted and many schools were provided surplus teachers (subject wise) while many were left without subject teachers" said a TJF member. TJF leaders have appealed to the Director Education to verify the lists (sent by CEO, Rasjouri) from their sources before issuing orders and also cancel the pre-matured transfer if managed by some corrupt officials. |
