| Farewell given to Dr Jamwal, others | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, July 31: Dr. Surinder Singh Jamwal, Director Agriculture Jammu superannuated today after serving for more than 37 years in various capacities in the Department of Agriculture.
Dr. Jamwal along with other retirees were given a warm and graceful farewell in the jam packed Auditorium Hall at Krishi Bhawan, Jammu today.
The function started with the presentation of bouquets and momentos besides garlanding by all the three Joint Directors of Agriculture and other senior officers of the department.
Dr. Jamwal praised the devotion, dedication and professionalism shown by the staff and officers working in various wings and sections of the department.
Rajinder Singh, Seed Certification Assistant, Jammu who retired after 32 years of service and Tara Chand, Field Assistant, Spawn Production Scheme Jammu who retired after 41 years of service were also given farewell by the staff and officers of the Directorate of Agriculture, Jammu.
Sudesh Koul, Joint Director of Agriculture (Inputs), Jammu the new incumbent Director Agriculture, Jammu appreciated the working of the outgoing director and assured to take the department to new heights by taking up various issues vigorously for the welfare of farming community and functionaries of the department.
He further said that all out efforts will also be made for projection of departments' achievements and the required steps shall be continued for the betterment of working conditions in the department.
A K Malhotra, Joint Director of Agriculture (Extension) Jammu an S R Galotra, Joint Director of Agriculture (SLUB) Jammu also spoke on the occasion and listed the achievements of the department during the tenure of Dr. Jamwal. |
