Early Times Report

Jammu, Aug 8:Calling for a need to strengthen cross LoC trade between India and Pakistan and castigating present coalition government for not paying due concern over it, National Conference here has alleged that Poonch Unit of Peoples Democratic Party is trying to divide traders which can prove harmful for the system in upcoming days.
In a press statement issued here, Youth NC Provincial President Jammu, Ajaz Jan said that cross LoC trading system was started with an aim to smooth the relation between both the neighbouring nations but present coalition government is unmoved to it and no major concern has been paid to this side which can act as a major tool to restore confidence between both the neighbouring nations.
" Late. Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, during his visit to Poonch and Chakan da Bagh trade centre in 2015, announced several new initiatives for putting a new life in trading system but after his sad demise, both the coalition partners and even his daughter Mehbooba Mufti, who is presently the Chief Minister, has not bothered to pay much attention to it.
" Several new needs have developed in the system in last two years but PDP BJP coalition government is unmoved to it and even the concerned Industries Minister of government had hardly visited the centre once or twice " Jan said.
Meanwhile castigating PDP for creating a ridge between traders of Cross LOC trade, YNC Provincial President Ajaz Jan said that PDP leaders recently supported framing a new body of some traders which is parallel to a strengthened one framed earlier through proper procedure which clearly show that party is trying to weaken trading system for its personal gains.
" A traders body headed by President Pawan Anand was framed through proper procedure in presence of judicial experts but a another parallel body comprising of few traders has been framed with the help of PDP leaders which can play it's role in weakening the trading system and creating ridge between traders " Jan alleged.
He further said that intelligence agencies are also playing wrong role to some extent as some traders, who are not having good last record, have been inducted in the trading system after clearance of verification from agencies due to support of PDP leaders and such moves will prove harmful for trade in upcoming days.
Jan also congratulated Pawan Anand and other elected chairperson of traders body and hoped that all the chairperson will carry the traders along and will work for strengthening the cross LoC trade.
