NC that faced the electoral wrath in 2014 elections for killing 120 civilians in 2010 unrest spared no moment to hold Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti responsible for present unrest in Kashmir. "You have been doing this since 1947 in Kashmir, you did not even spare Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah from taking to prison, how long we tolerate this," Masoodi shouted upon the police official. The marchers who had carried banners and placards amid anti PDP, BJP and RSS slogans staged a sit-in protest near TRC against what they termed 'innocent killings' at the hands of government forces. Others who participated in the protest march were, Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar, Abdul Majid Larmi, Sheikh Mustafa Kamal, Gulam Nabi Ratanpuri, Sharif ud Din Shariq, Nasir Aslam Wani, MLA Habbakdal, Shameema Firdous, Salman Ali Sagar, Yawar Masoodi and other party activists. Talking to reporters NC General Secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar while shedding crocodile tears over what he termed 'deteriorating situation' in Kashmir said that New Delhi should initiate a comprehensive dialogue with all stake holders' vis-à-vis Kashmir issue. "Kashmir issue is a political issue and not social, it is high time for New Delhi to initiate a meaningful dialogue with all stake holders including Hurriyat Conference with regards to Kashmir issue,'' Sagar said adding former Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah has always been demanding to take separatists board. He claimed that the statements being issued by the government over ongoing situation seem as if given by terrorists. Sagar also holds Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti directly responsible for the present crises in Kashmir which has so far claimed lives of over fifty people with thousands others injured since July 8. |
