BJP MLA gets 'unobliging' SHO transferred | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 8: A BJP MLA has got an 'unobliging' SHO transferred from a police station in Jammu district with the help of a party minister. He was now attached with the district police lines (DPL). Police sources said the differences between the two developed after the SHO could not consider all the recommendations made by the MLA. The SHO was alleged to be ignoring the MLA in his constituency. There was also a controversy under his jurisdiction, involving the MLA. After this incident, the MLA made up his mind to get him transferred, police sources said. Sources said the MLA went to the house of his party minister a few days back and got the SHO attached to DPL with his help. The MLA was now trying to get him transferred outside Jammu. He has remained SHO of many police stations in Jammu. "In an attempt to teach him a lesson, the MLA says he will ensure that he is not posted as SHO of any police station till his government is in power in the state," sources claimed. When senior police officers asked the SHO why there was conflict between the two, he levelled serious allegations against the MLA and alleged that he had unnecessarily been creating hurdles for him. |
