Jammu, Aug 8: Days after Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh returned to India after attending the SAARC meet in Islamabad, the Border Security Force has sounded alert along International Border in Jammu Frontier as movement of Pak Rangers on the other side of the border is intensified. There are reports that the Pakistani Rangers have increased their movement on the other side of the border after Mr Rajnath Singh returned to India from the SAARC meet and came down heavily on Pakistan for fostering terrorism, reliable sources here told . They said, ''the movement of Pakistani Rangers has increased across the international border from Kathua to Akhnoor Sector of Jammu Frontier and there are apprehensions that they might have also strengthened the deployment. ''We are not taking the move lightly and sensing something ''unusual'' from across the fence, the BSF troops have been asked to remain more alert to foil any of their nefarious designs,'' sources asserted. The sources added that earlier also whenever, such activities happened, rise in infiltration and ceasefire violations was reported, adding, ''BSF authorities however, not taking it as something normal, have intensified their security and sounded alert asking troops to remain more vigilant and keep watch on unwanted movements. ''Increased movement of Pakistani Rangers in their area across the border is a routine matter but we never take such activities normally,'' a senior BSF official said. |
