JAMMU, Aug 8: The Victors House of MV International School organized a special program 'Quit India Day' today in the school assembly ground. According to press release, the day to commemorate the initiatives taken by the father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi in the form of "Quit India" movement in 1942 and number of freedom fighters who struggled and fought for our independence as a result which, we are living in a free nation today. To pay tribute to the freedom fighters and to make the students aware of the importance of the day, the students of senior wing including Udayveer -IX A, Ujwal - IX A, Ganapati-IX A, Pratham -IX B, Aman - IX B, Danish-IX A, Jaydeep -VII A and Sparsh-VIII B staged a skit emphasizing on the role of Gandhi Ji and the challenges he faced while dealing with the British Government to make India a free nation. The student's team from the middle wing comprising of Hansika - VIII A, Isha- VIIIB, Suhani - VI A and Vanshmeet - VI A presented a group song on the importance of freedom. |
