Fire guts BDO office in Kishtwar 10/9/2016 11:07:57 PM Early Times Report Kishtwar Oct 9: The office of the Block Development Officer Kishtwar was gutted in a devastating fire incident on Sunday. As per the details available with "Early Times" some people witnessed the flames coming out from the roof top of the building and informed the police who immediately rushed to the spot and started dousing the flames. In the mean time officials of Rural Development Department including BDO Kishtwar Sunil Kumar Butyal also reached the spot and played a vital role in saving the official record and the building from being getting completely destroyed. The employees of the department without caring for huge flames entered into the building and managed to save the computers and a few wardrobes that carried the important records. SSP Kishtwar Sandeep Wazir, Dy. SP HQ Kishtwar Touseef Rishu along with SHO Kishtwar Sameer Jeelani also reached the spot and access the situation. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, but short circuit is believed to be the cause of the fire. The BDO Kishtwar said that it is premature to say anything about the exact cause of the fire. He also said that the loss to the record and other damages could only be ascertained in the morning.
