Unhappy with his posting, influential DIG shuns office | Hul Chul in Police | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 9: Seeking an important posting, an influential Deputy Inspector General (DIG), posted at relatively insignificant post is staying away from his official duties. "In recent past DIG has not attended any official meeting and is also skipping important programmes of the department," sources said, adding that last month he skipped an inauguration programme of a training institute held in Jammu, wherein head of the wing was also present. If sources are to be believed, the officer in question signs all the official documents from his residence, just to show his power. "The DIG is not happy with his posting and is seeking prime posting," said sources, adding that the DIG also remained in news for his wrong doings during his tenure as SSP in a district in Jammu Province. "During his posting as district SSP, the officer in question reportedly disobeyed the orders of the seniors and maintained his monopoly in the department," said sources. |
