Legislator poses as terrorist, asks colleagues to resign | | | Early Times Report
Anantnag, Oct 9: Posing as terrorist and Tehreek-e-Hurriyat leader, a Kashmiri lawmaker has been threatening his colleagues to resign from the State Legislative Assembly or face dire consequences, Early Times has learnt from reliable sources. They said that legislator was making telephone calls to other lawmakers and asking them to resign. "Legislators received many such calls during past two months and subsequently held several meetings to deliberate upon the issue," Sources said. One of the leaders privy to the incident said that lawmaker confessed that he was making the telephone calls. "Lawmaker's confession stunned all those who were receiving telephone calls," he said and added that all agitated lawmakers are demanding action against him. However the legislator, according to sources, hasn't yet revealed on whose behest he was making telephone calls and posing sometimes as terrorist and sometimes a Tehreek-e-Hurriyat leader. Legislators, according to sources have intimated to party president and demanded action against the lawmaker. According to Political observers no legislator or political leader has returned to their native constituency and such actions establish the fact that these politicians want Kashmir to boil and bleed. |
