Early Times Report
Anantnag, Oct 9: Claiming his party didn't support 'Surgical Strikes' carried out by Indian army in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir, Peoples Democratic Party General Secretary Sartaj Madni on Sunday said that PDP wants final settlement of Kashmir dispute and peaceful relations between Indo-Pak countries. Madni, who chaired a closed door Party meeting in Dak Banglow Khanabal while interacting with media was quick to add that PDP certainly believes in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and no one, should raise doubts over the 'Surgical strikes'. "Firstly let me tell you PDP didn't support the 'Surgical strikes' but we must believe in Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Certain people are raising question marks on surgical strikes but we must trust Prime Minister. He has told us so we should believe and after his words no one should raise the doubts," he said. He said that PDP's core agenda is to bring peace and return normalcy in the valley from unrest for the past three months. "All you know we laid foundation of PDP on July 28 just two days after the Kargil war ended. We have ever since worked for peace and want people live a peaceful and dignified life," he added. He said that all those who claim to be sympathizers of Kashmiri nation must run for the talks. "It is unfortunate that when whole Indian parliament arrived in Kashmir we shut the doors. I believe that all those claiming to be sympathizers of Kashmiri nation must run for the talks," he added. |
