Not satisfied, IPS officer applies for central deputation | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 9: Not satisfied with his new posting, which he considers as unimportant, an IPS officer has applied for the central deputation and is said to have activated all his resources to get it at the earliest. "Fed up with the politics involved in postings at senior level, he has made up his mind to spend a few years outside the state in some central agency," police sources said. Though he has remained posted at different positions in the state police, his work as SSP of a district in Kashmir has remained commendable. "The assembly constituency of a powerful politician also falls in the district previously headed by him," sources said and added that he was posted as head of this district on the recommendation of an ex-chief minister of the state. As he had helped the political family on some occasions, he was assured a significant posting in return. Sources said the political family had assured him that he would either be posted in an important district of Kashmir or given some other significant posting. However, nothing happened on the expected lines for him as the government transferred him to another wing where he was further posted in a rural area, the sources added. He had expressed his resentment after his transfer and had not joined the new place of posting for some time. He had also approached senior police officers and some politicians to get his transfer order cancelled, but all in vain as a result of which he was forced to join his new place of posting. "Since he does not want to work at his new place of posting for long, he has applied for the central deputation," sources said. Sources said the government had deliberately given him this 'unimportant' posting. |
