Medical camp organized 10/9/2016 11:31:11 PM Early Times Report Poonch, Oct 9: In remote villages of district Poonch where health facilities are scarce and people of border villages face problems, youth leader Imtiaz Salaria took initiative to provide free health check up and free medicines. In Shahpur, Gontarian and adjoining villages where PHCs are non functional, villagers had to travel to main town for health check up and medicines. However during current harvesting months it is tough task for villagers to travel. Salaria along with other social activists organized a camp where free medicines were provided. Speaking to villagers Salaria said that health should be continuously monitored and even if small ailment; people should consult medical experts and should not wait to further aggravate the situation. It is important to mention here that these villages face continuous firing from across LOC, therefore lot of mental stress and other related diseases. Other eatable like fresh fruits were also distributed. Local residents appreciated noble initiative of Salaria.
