"Apart from implementation of 7th pay commission in Jammu & Kashmir also the fund would help in regularization of these daily rated workers who are working in the various departments of state Government since years together, "he added. Interacting with media persons here, Shastri said that the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti should take up the issue of grant of special package with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley to ameliorate the condition of the salaried/working classes who find themselves in view of sharp increase in the prices of essential commodities and inflation. Stressing on the need for allotting a separate wage head in each department of the state Govt. for regular disbursement their wages, Shastri said that it is strange that neither these daily rated workers have been regularized so far nor they have been paid their monthly salary for the last 4/5 years causing lot of hardships to them. |
