Early Times Report

Jammu, Nov 3: In order to show their solidarity with all the soldiers including retired of Indian Forces including armed, navy, air force on (OROP) One Rank One Pension issue Aam Aadmi Party's volunteers have gathered today to strongly protest against the Central BJP government especially Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is hell bent upon to lower the dignity of the armed forces by tricks, in which large number of volunteers participated.
While speaking on the occasion, Sanjeev Sareen, Advocate, volunteer of the Aam Aadmi Party said that as the AAP Government of Delhi set an example in the country India by awarding at least a compensation of Rupees One Crore to the victims/martyrs not only of Armed forces but also the police forces even the police of Delhi is not under the control of AAP Government.
He demanded that the Central Government should implement OROP as per the draft presented by the armed forces and as per their convenience and not by using tricky methods by giving nothing and saying that OROP has been passed.
Sareen further said had OROP been passed correctly there would not have been the suicide of Ram Kishan Grewal, an ex-serviceman on the issue. Even after the suicide of Ram Kishan, further shameful acts of Central Government came in front when they beat the family of Late Sh. Ram Kishan severely and even arrested the elected Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and not allowed to meet the family members of the deceased to pay the condolences for the reasons best known to them.
In the last Sareen demanded that the Prime Minister and the Defence Minister to seek pardon from the whole country on the OROP issue and misusing Army's image on surgical strikes otherwise the people of the country will teach them a befitting lesson in the coming elections in Punjab, Goa and Gujarat. Among others who protested in the protest were Rani Devi, Anita Gupta, Harpreet Singh, Rakesh, Vipul Bali, Bilal Khan, Raj Kumar Nischal, Himanshu Jandyal, Gagandeep Singh, Daljeet Singh, Jagjeet Singh, Mehar Singh, Rajesh Bali, S.B. Bakshi, Sukhvinder Singh, Janmeet Singh, Vishal Arya Gupta, Dalbir Singh, Parvinder Singh, Sajan Sharma, Sanjay Rakwal, Kuldeep Singh, Harmeet Singh, Sham Sharma, Pardeep Sharma amongst others.
