Alarming increase in ceasefire violations during NDA rule: Azad
Accuses Govt for threatening Pak on TV only

Jammu, Nov 3: Taking a jibe on leaders of Union Government's threats against Pakistan on television, the leader of opposition in the Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad accused NDA government for threatening Pakistan on Television only resulting increasing ceasefire violations cases since NDA government has come into power, on border areas causing huge losses of human and live stock of people of borders areas.
During a visit at Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu, leader of opposition in the Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad said ceasefire violations also took place during UPA Government but after formation of new Government, the ceasefire violations have been increased in manifold resulting people of borders have become worst suffered of Pak shelling.
"We heard so many threats on television from the Government side but its result comes out negative and people are border areas are migrated and suffering from human and live stock losses, "Azad said and adding that Government should be do smoothing practically but they are busy in getting TRP from TV only.
Expressing anguish over human losses, Azad said Government need to ask those who are losing their relatives and live stock on border areas during cross border firing and shelling from the side of Pakistan but government seem least bother for the safety of the people who are running from pillar to post for the safety. He demanded Government should allot 5 to 6 marls plot to victims of cross firing at safe places.
Showing anguish for targeting civilians, he said this is most unfortunate on the part of the Pakistan and Pakistan government, its administration and particularly Pakistani army for targeting civilian this time and Pak Army should never target civilians, living on border areas.
"We were very happy the surgical strike took place by the Indian army and support such strikes, he added. On being asked was it wrong decision by the government to conduct surgical strike, he replied, "I won't say that government was wrong as so far as surgical strike is concern and it is not government, I don't know why the government is taking credit, it is the job of Indian Army go for the surgical strike, "he added.
"I am happy that our government and Army personnel are giving befitting reply to Pakistan and entire country is behind security forces, "Azad stated.
