| DG BRO inspects projects in Jammu region | | |

Jammu Nov 3: Director General of Border Roads Organisation (BRO), Lt Gen Suresh Sharma today inspected various projects of the BRO in Jammu region. "Lt Gen Sharma visited project BEACON and project SAMPARK areas including the Bhaderwah-Bani-Basohli road which is under construction and would provide an alternative connectivity to Kashmir through Bhaderwah and Doda," a defence spokesman said.
He also visited Chattergala pass to check the feasibility of the construction of a tunnel for providing all weather connectivity in the area.
The DG BRO emphasised on the need to expedite the progress of work while maintaining its high quality under the laid down norms and standards.
He also visited western base workshop and western store depot which look after the base repairs and store requirements of all BRO projects in the western region. |
