VHP takes stock of border situation, reminds Government for help | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 3: State VHP President Leela Karan Sharma has said that Pakistan is violating cease-fire right from Kathua to Uri and Poonch sector for the last more than one month. Vishaw Hindu Parishad in order to know the situation prevailing at the border area has already visited Pargwal & R.S.Pura sectors to celebrate Diwali with the soldiers. "Yesterday a team of VHP consisting of myself and Shakti Dutt Sharma Secretary, Ajay Manhas convener Hindu Helpline, Anil Sharma Samba District President, Suresh Sharma, Narinder Sharma & Dev Raj etc. visited Ramgarh, Radha Swami Ashram, Swankhan Mandir etc. where migrants of border villages are staying and interacted with the them about their conditions and difficulties are being faced by them in the camp," said Leela Karan Sharma After ascertaining the difficulties faced by the migrants the team met with the administration and requested that the migrant people should be given all facilities of food, medical so that they can live in the camps peacefully & comfortably. VHP feels that the Pakistan will not venture for regular war and continue in proxy war and border skirmishes in spite of the fact that our forces are retaliating with full force. The moral of border people & Army jawan are very high. VHP demands that in such circumstances adequate concrete bunkers should be constructed in each border villages so that civilian in emergency can take shelter there. The committee also came to know that no financial assistance has been provided to the kith & kins of the person who have lost their lives as well as to the injured. Immediate exgratia relief be granted to the kith & kin of the deceased residents and injured. Free specialised treatment is provided to the injured. Since long a proposal has been given to the Government that the migrants will be provided small plots & financial help to construct their houses so that in case of such like situations they could shift there and the education of their children will not suffer. |
