Sportathon Cup: KCPS excels in Table Tennis

JAMMU, Nov 3: The KC Public School (KCPS) excelled after winning teams events of boys' under-14 and under-16 age groups in the discipline of Table Tennis in the ongoing Sportathon Cup 2016, organised by KC Sports Club, here today.
In under-14 final, KCPS outplayed Delhi Public School 3-0. The Results: Divyansh bt Manik 11-08, 11-05; Karmanya bt Paryansh 2-1 (11-08, 09-11, 11-08); Dhananjay bt Sahil 1-05, 11-08. The KC International School remained third.
The under-16 title again went to KCPS after they trounced the same opponent from DPS in the final. The JK Public School finished third. The Results (Final): Ritvik bt Jeevansh 11-08, 11-06; Hanumant bt Sanchit 11-05, 11-06; Ashank bt Viplav 11-08, 11-03.
CRICKET: Meanwhile, in ongoing Indoor cricket event, KC Public School beat Heritage School by two wickets. Batting first, Heritage made 27 runs in allotted 10 overs with Tushar and Virendra being top scorers making six runs each. From KCPS, Sparsh, Abhay and Parful shared three wickets each.
In reply, KCPS chased the target in 8.4 overs losing their eight wickets. Sparsh and Aryan made nine and seven runs respectively. From Heritage, Gurdeep and Shivaay took two wickets each.
In another scheduled match, DPS registered three wickets win against KCPS. Earlier, batting first, KCPS could score 25 runs in 10 overs game, which, in reply, DPS overhauled in 7.3 overs for the loss of seven wickets. Meanwhile, in Outdoor cricket match, Mayank Goswami Cricket Academy (MGCA) made it a 32 runs win against DPS. Batting first, MGCA set a target of 113 runs in 15 over a side game. Samad was highest scorer with 54 runs, followed by Aryan and Snoop, who made 26 and 27 runs respectively. From DPS, Aryan and Satyavart took two wickets each. In reply, DPS found it hard to chase the total and bowled out for 80 runs. Harsimar and Anmol were only batsmen to score in double figure with made 18 and 11 runs respectively.
