Patel given befitting tribute in "Rashtriya Ekta Saptah"

Jammu, Nov 3: As a sequel to the ongoing celebrations of " Rashtriya Ekta Saptah" till November 6th recalling Sardar Patel's contributions to the unification on India and strengthening co-operative movement, a floral tribute was paid to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at Govt. M.A.M College Jammu by NSS and NCC wings of the college.
Patel was born on October 31st 1875 at Nadiad in Gujarat and was the country's first Home Minister. Garlanding of Patel's portrait was followed by administering Ekta Pledge. In the "Pledge Taking Ceremony" the Principal of the College Prof. (Dr.) Romesh Chander, faculty members as well as NSS volunteers and NCC cadets pledged to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the country.
