Border dweller continue to stay away from their houses, still scared to return

Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 3: As uneasy calm prevailed along the International Border (IB) and the Line of Control (LoC), the thousands of border residents continue to stay at different shelter points and relief camps set up by the respective district administrations and various other socio-politico organisations to help displaced border people.
After witnessing the blood bath on Tuesday during intense shelling by Pakistan majority of villagers are scared to return home and closely watching the developments.
Since Pakistan Rangers and Pak army are targeting the civilian areas even during the day time, the border dwellers camping at relief camps are shying away from going to their respective homes even during day time. "Otherwise in routine they used to move to their homes for feeding their cattle and to do other household chores”, some of displaced border people said.
They said though some still dare to visit home by taking great risk at their own despite being advised to stay away from areas falling in the direct line of fire. But majority is shying away from moving to their homes during daytime, they added.
People from worst affected villages of Abdulian, Chanduchak, Gharana, Sai, Jeora Farms in RS Pura have migrated to safer places while these border towns wore a 'deserted look' even on late Thursday when there was no fire at all. Majority of houses have been found locked and villages during late evening get enveloped in scary darkness as the lights have been switched off by the locals to observe 'blackout'.
The worst sufferers of this ongoing cycle of ceasefire violations and intense shelling are the thousands of students studying in over 350 schools which have been shut down by the district authorities to ensure their safety.
Meanwhile the security agencies have been kept in a state of high alert especially ahead of the reopening of durbar move offices. The intelligence agencies too have warned about relocation of terror launch pads from the Line of Control (LoC) towards International Border (IB) and the apprehension could be substantiated from the heavy firing from the other side i.e. the Pakistan along the International Border. Here it needs to mention that BSF also have claimed to have foiled an infiltration bid in Hiranagar sector here this morning.
